Great Backyard Bird watch

- We had no samples for the SW (South West) region of the USA.
- We made a hypothesis that there would be more birds in the south. However; we had many birds in the north. This is because Aunt Nancy and Uncle Jim feed the bird and the food attracted them. We will post some pictures of the Saginaw Birds in another post.
- This was not a good experiment design because we did not have the same number of respondents in each region of the USA.

Great Backyard Bird Watch

We participated the Great Backyard Bird Watch "Lapain Style" today...meaning that we put some seed in the feeder and kept watch with camera and binoculars. We saw one bird and I think it MIGHT be a Blacked Capped Chickadee. We are just not bird people so are not sure.... Andrew then drew this illustration of the bird. If we see more today we will post that as well. Please let me know what you find! We will look at the results and post our own thoughts and findings! Notice the snow on the top of the birdhouse!

OX Uglydoll

What kind of name is OX? No, not like the animal...OX, as in HUG and KISS! How can he hug you with such short arms? Ox uses his ears!

He's not a very good listener, but he puts his ears to good use in many other ways! Tuck them in your shirt and take OX on a stroll!

OX is great at magic, and his best trick is turning your stuff into his stuff.

His best buddy Wedgehead calls that stealing, but OX just wants to borrow things from you for a few hundred years. He promises to put everything back when he's done.

What he wants to steal the most is your heart, and he promises to be your friend if you would lend him a hand or an ear...or like two dollars.

Chapter 1: Stuart meets the Lilo and Stitch Experiements

It was early morning. Stuart jumped out of bed ready to go visit Lilo and Stitch. He liked to visit their house because they captured all the experiements and let them stay at their house. Stuart had a newspaper. It was called The Nutty News. He had a device. It was called "Mop 'N Mountain." Stuart yelled, "Hey! Look down. It's me." And they saw Stuart. Lilo said, "Welcome, but you're a mouse!" Stuart saw all the experiments. He came near them and greeted them. Now what would they plan?

What if snails could run?

Snails don't run. They leave a lot of slime. They run by leaving slime and moving fast. And that's a fact! Snails also are out in your backyard in your garden and sometimes they can be kept as pets.

The Best Kind of Pet....

A dog is a special kind of pet that God made. Sometimes dogs can do funny tricks just like Anthony and Marko's dog Rocko! (Anthony and Marko are my friends.) They can be trained for walking and also the best and funny way to walk dogs is running and walking a dog. Dog bones and crunchy dog bones are a special kind of dog food. And they chew on their squeaky dog bone toys. And they play with dog toys.

The shooting star got in the water and Stellaluna was lost in it. Splash! Splash! Pip, Flitter and Flap banged into the shooting star. They were still lost. They looked in the telescope and crashed into the mother bat. They got tangled.
